Thinking about building or purchasing a new home?
Consider these reasons why you should choose us for your next home.
At Perthel Homes we take personal attention very seriously. We take pride in managing each project personally from sales to daily site visits to final detailing. Each day we visit every homesite to handle the project management and quality-control of each home. Our philosophy is that we should only build homes that we would want to live in, from the design to the fit and finish every detail is carefully scrutinized to build the best quality home at the best value possible.
Since we are so involved with the construction of each home carefully select every contractor and tradesman that works on our homes. Our experienced subcontractors are not selected based solely on their bid price, but also the quality and integrity of their work.
Each home’s high quality cabinetry is custom designed by a local cabinetry shop and crafted by DuraSupreme. These cabinets have many upgraded features not found in other homes’ cabinetry including: integral mitered end panels, dove-tail drawers, soft-close drawer system, and solid wood drawer fronts, doors and cabinet faces. Our kitchens feature beautiful cherry cabinets with crown and under cabinet mouldings with maple cabinetry found throughout the rest of the home.
In today’s connected world, it is important to have the proper low-voltage wiring run throughout your home. Without a well designed wiring plan you may be spending hundreds or even thousands of dollars to retrofit a wiring system to accommodate today’s technology. At Perthel Homes, we include coax cable and Cat5e “gigabit-compatible” network wiring in each bedroom and other television viewing locations. While many other builders may upcharge for network wiring, and older homes may not have any, this essential component allows for a much greater depth of connectivity including the ability to use modern HD-television, internet and security systems that use Cat5e network wiring for the transmission of signals.
Today there is a huge variety of ranges from electric and gas ovens to the latest dual-fuel ranges. We include 220v and 110v electric along with gas connections for connecting all these types of ranges, giving you the most options when choosing appliances without needing to worry about the additional costs involved with installing a gas line to a kitchen range or adding 220v for a full electric or dual-fuel range.
While most homes are priced with an allowance for ceiling fans (typically 2 per home), our homes include ceiling fans with light kits in all bedrooms and other rooms such as the great room and dinette included in the price.
Did you know that there are different grades of sub-flooring material? Many homes use LP® Building Products TopNotch® line of sub-flooring, however there are three different grades: 250, 250 and 450. While other homes are built with 250 and 350 series, we use only LP® TopNotch® 450 Series Sub-Flooring, their top-grade premium OSB sub-flooring. This tongue-and-groove flooring has superior strength, a 50-year limited warranty and moisture-resistant edge seals for superior moisture resistance. Solid sub-flooring is a critical component to your new home; make sure you know the quality of the subfloor before you buy.
Granite countertops and undermount sinks add a level of luxury to a home. That’s why we include granite in the kitchen and full bathrooms in each of our homes. Our countertops are made from 1¼” solid granite that is professionally fabricated on the latest CNC machines and installed by a local family-run granite shop. Although it costs over $300 more per sink, we also include Kohler® undermount sinks in each full bathroom and a stainless steel undermount sink in the kitchen.
